Wow, it's been a while since I've posted an update. So probably better to break it up into sections.
Kids---
Bee is in panties all day now! She's excited. We're excited so she gets her Dora bedding (how I wish my mom got Disney instead of Nick Jr.). In fact, her room is set up right now! I guess we were just too busy before to bother with it and as soon as we weren't in and out all day, it was easy to let her do it all by herself. She's had all the "signs" that she was ready for a while, I just didn't have the time and then there's the fact that she forgot to put her seat down and fell in the toilet. That was a little set back but we're done with that thankfully. I am glad we waited because she pretty much trained herself. We didn't have to go through a lot and it was easy. Now, I feel like I am truly raising children and officially out of "baby land."
Bug is becoming a fashionista. And bringing Bee along with her. That's fine. It's cute. They've been with my mom for a week now, 3 hours away. So it's been just me and Redmosqui for a while now. We've talked to my mom everyday, the kids have been busy at their Uncle J's pool. And playing with their cousins. I've been told several that they want to stay there with their Tetta and their cousins. I have a nice surprise for them--- They're Uncle J and Aunt L, and 2 cousins we'll be joining us on the trip to the beach this coming Monday for Red's birthday. They'll be happy, the Condo we rented sleeps 8 anyway so they're going to come along. The Bugs will be very happy. And I will be glad to spend some time with my niece before she goes into the hospital. I don't have all the details yet, and I am not sure I want to. All I know is eventually, they have to go into her brain. That's more than enough knowledge for me.
Us--
Time without the kids has been really nice. The house has been really peaceful and quiet. We've been doing things that you can do when kids aren't in the house like leave out sharp objects. Not do the dishes forever, and go out whenever and where ever. Papa Bug and Grandma Bug have been over helping to paint the house. It's all done now, and WOW... a coat of paint can do a lot. I still had to work a little bit. When we dropped the girls off with their Tetta, we got to visit with some of my dear friends too. That was nice. It's nice that we'll get to spend a few days with everyone before and after our beach trip too. The summer has started off nicely. Lots of plans. Not enough time to blog, but hopefully I can still do Wordless Wednesday with pictures of everything we do. I got myself a new camera and I love the pictures it takes. It's originally $400, and I got it on sale for about a quarter of the price. I can't wait to try it out on the kids. The most important thing to me is shudder speed and it's got a wonderful recycle time. Great for kids that don't ever stop.
As a surprise to Red, I also booked us a Mountain trip, to where we got married. Timberwolf Creek in the beautiful Maggie Valley, NC. A few miles off the highway, but 50 years back in time. It's so peaceful to sleep next to a rolling stream with the windows open. Instead of renting a room, I booked the entire cabin. I already told Red about it, but we're leaving it as a surprise for the girls. We'll drive up to Bryson City first. Bryson City holds the majority of the entertainment in the Mountains. But we had the option to book a 7 hour tour, that includes a long tour by train and then a 2 hour tour in a Jeep Wrangler. The girls are obsessed with Trains and Jeeps but we've opted just to do the 2 hours Jeep tour, then surprise them by going to the cabin for 2 nights. I bought them "Dora" backpacks. Literally, the same one Dora has. Some binoculars, and Red and I will be dressed as Safari Explorers since the Jeep will be taking us to tour the waterfalls and other sites. Red wants an Indiana Jones hat and I may even let the girls use cameras as well because Red and I now have our own. During the other 2 days there, we're going to go tour the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've driven most of it in my lifetime here in NC, so I'd like to share it with them. We're also going to watch the Elk. There is a whole reservation for them and you can just go park and watch them. Then we're going to a special amusement park just for kids Ages 1-6, called Santa's Land. They have a train there so I figure that's where they will get their train fix. We'll pack up all our Thomas movies and any other "train" type stuff that we've collected over the years and drive out letting them wonder where we are going. The only thing I worry about is that we've never boarded our Penny. The Innkeeper is the person who married us and she told me it was fine to bring Penny but I don't want to have to worry about what she's doing while we're having a blast. So, yup... we'll board her. We found the best kennel ever here that has accommodations for everything, and it's not very expensive either. So she gets her own little vacation. The very next day after we come back from our trip.... Bug goes to Kindergarten camp! I am very excited.
Aside from that, Red's birthday and my nieces birthday are only 2 days apart. We'll be celebrating together at the beach. And then celebrating when we get back to my moms with kabobs and other Lebanese fare. Friday, today, I guess, I have an appointment with my favorite hair dress, who weirdly enough has the same name I gave my niece. ;) Then Ant Cici will be here for another visit only this time for the first time in 5 years... a childless visit! We've seen so much of each other recently that I am going to dread when we have another year apart from each other. But we have many late night conversations that make the distance not seem to rough. Then we'll let the vacationing begin! I hope everyone is have a great summer! Mine is turning out to be pretty good thus far. I will post pictures of Bee's room, Bugs new cd player and that finished product of the painting of the walls next WW... or maybe the one after that since we'll be on the quiet sandy beaches of NC! :)

Weekly Update!
It's been a very rough week. Whatever this mystery medical problem is, we need to figure it out. After almost 4 months of it constantly coming and going... it mysteriously disappeared! I was thankful and happy. Even though I spent so much money trying to figure it out.... it was gone. Almost 2 months. Well.... Wednesday it came back. Harder, and more painful than before. My symptoms even stuck around longer. Isn't that great? I've been trying to bide my time until Redmosqui starts summer break. It's only 1 more week. Here's hoping it doesn't come back before then. I was so sick, I forgot to pick up the newspaper that had my daughters picture in it for her graduation. Hopefully, I can still get it by calling the newspaper. Thankfully, one of my best friends was here over the weekend and was able to help me out during the day while Redmosqui was at work. There is no describing this medical condition. At this point, it even has my mom, in my opinion, overly concerned.
I have had a lot of things that I've wanted to blog about lately. But unfortunately, time has not been on my side. So, let's talk about Bee. I talk about Bug so much that maybe today, since I am still in some pain from Wednesday and having problems sleeping with it... I can talk about my sweet little bee. Earlier this year, she was doing great with her potty training until one fateful day, she forgot to put her special seat down and fell in the potty. She is a very dainty and petite little girl. She is 3 years old and weighs 28 pounds. She's very small. So when I say she fell in... she was all in. It was tramatizing for her. She wouldn't even go in the bathroom after that. Poor Bee. Our schedule was so busy, I decided that since we were pretty much in and out of the car more than 4 or 5 times during the day, I would let her slide with occasionally going and when preschool was over, I would get aggressive with it by axing the Pull ups except for night time. She's still too young for that. This also gave me time to think about the perfect reward for her.
Well preschool ended May 27th. And I came out with the perfect reward for her. She's obsessed with Dora. Her current bedding is bedding that I had when I was child. So it's pretty old. She doesn't know it, and she likes it but she asked me a while ago if I would get her a Dora bedding set. So, with that in mind.... I calculated the cost of what I would save by not buying Pull ups and budgeted that without Pull ups in my life I could provide her with a Dora Bedding Set, Wall Appliques, and a Dora Doll. There was our deal. It takes 21 days to break a habit. So I gave her 21 days. We're a week in and so far so good. She wears Dora panties, and Ariel panties. She has her own success song. Make sure to wash her hands and turn the lights off when she's done in the bathroom. And never fails to remind me that everyday about her Dora blanket, pillow, and doll. She doesn't know about the wall decor quite yet. That's a special surprise for my baby girl. Bug is even on board with the encouraging talks and Bee is sweet enough to share her treats with Bug.
For Bee, next year she'll be going to a new preschool next year. She'll be there 5 days a week 4 hours a day. So, I will still get one on one time with her while Bug discovers kindergarten. And I will get a much needed break with these hours that I am working. She's excited to go everyday just like her sister. And I am excited for her. In 6 months, Bee will be 4. I'm almost there! Almost to having both girls in school full time. One of the perks of having a teacher as my husband (there are a lot more honey, I promise.. this is just one!) is the time off he gets. So by my calculations, with his breaks, I have 18 more months of third shift left. When he's home, he's awesome. He lets me get all the rest I need. Soon--- we get to work close to the same hours.
It's coming, and I am excited. Today, I attempted to catch up on reading blogs and commenting. Hopefully more soon and hopefully, I will be able to update again before Father's Day. :) This weekend, despite the sickness was fun. Today, we went to Petco to take Penny to get her bath. They have edible doggie birthday cards that are actually rawhide. The girls want me to invited everyone over for Penny's birthday--- which is June 13th and make her a cake. Yeah... not gonna happen. So I got them a card to give her--- more a surprise for them and a Frisbee so we can have more fun in the backyard with her. We are loving her coconut vanilla smell! She's such a good dog. :) While she was getting her bath, we went to Denny's and found that it was kid's eat free day. Awesome for my wallet. While picking Penny up at Petco, we saw some lovely kitties. One had a sad story that brought me to tears----- Her owner didn't take care of her, she got ear mites, and scratched her ears off. Poor kitty. I wish I could help every animal out there. That's just sad. That's it for our weekend. Sunday is going to be our typical chore day before I go to work. Lawn needs mowed, car needs washed, floors swept and vacuumed, bathroom cleaned, laundry.... too bad these things doesn't get done all by themselves. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Music and Movies
We signed up for Netflix last week and got our first Netflix movie in the mail: The Lovely Bones. I am not yet sure how I feel about the movie. It's very long, very well filmed and has an interesting concept but they pretty much tell you what happens at the beginning of the movie. It's even in the preview so that takes something away from it, in my opinion but it was a good movie to watch. I wouldn't want to own it. I probably will never watch it again. Kind of like Avatar. But it's worth renting and watching.
Toy Story 2 was down right cute! The Bugs loved it and I'm glad I bought it. I am excited for Toy Story 3 to come out and may be we could go see it at the drive-in if they have it. Or the Gem, I know they will have it. It's a good sequel for once. Most Disney sequels never hold up to the original but Toy Story 2 was impressive.
The Road came out on DVD today. I was kind of upset to find that Walmart did not have it on Blu-ray. But I bought the regular copy of it. I didn't feel like searching through stores to which ones had it. I have Thursday, Friday and Saturday off this week, I also don't work until 5pm on Sunday, then I have Monday off so I am hoping to be able to watch it then. The book was good. There were no chapters, no major places where you could stop in the book and the ending left me baffled and seriously wanting more information. I am hoping maybe the movie will give me a little more information. Don't get me wrong, the book was great. The absence of chapters forced me to read it pretty much all at one time but that's probably the major reason I was left wanting more. It's not a long book by any means and definitely worth the read if nothing else but to enlighten you on what could be the future. It's well written. And hopefully this movie-- chalk full of stars like Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, and Robert Duvall will live up to the book. We will see.
I did get myself also a Zune download card to download some songs for me and the girls. Right now we're into Michael Buble-- I Just Haven't Met You Yet, Huey Lewis and the News--- It's all right, Maxi Priest featuring Shaggy--- That Girl and quite a few others. They love those songs and dance around with me for exercise. So to surprised them, we won't have to wait for them to come on XM radio anymore. I'll have it for them on my Zune. Music = happiness in this household. I have always been that way I suppose and I do miss the awesome songs and bands from the 90's. I am happy to see some of the crank out more tunes again like Tonic, their release me song is just awesome. So nice to have some of them back. Even Linkin Park put out a new one that I like very much and would sit in my car in the driveway just to listen to whatever is left.
Aside from that we have visits!! My mom *possibly* this week depending on how she is feeling. She hasn't been feeling well lately and that always worries me. I was hoping she would bring my niece with her but she's been back and forth to Duke Medical hospital. She's going to be 9 and if they can't get her epilepsy to stop soon(she's had it since 6 months of age) then they'll know that she won't ever grow out of it. That deeply saddens me for her. It's her entire future. She may not be able to drive, have children and I wish I was closer so I could be there for her. Duke is even almost 2 hours from them. Longer from me but they have a great children hospital there. It just breaks my heart. She's such a sweetie and she's dealt with this and hasn't had a normal childhood because of the worry of seizures. I am praying that she'll grow out of it. I still have hope. I know she can't make it this week but at least I'll get to see her next month and maybe we'll get to go to her birthday party in July.
Another visit we have the first week of June is Ant CiCi!!! And she's definitely coming, the bugs have been asking about her lately since they have not seen her since December. They've talked to her on the phone and soon it will be time to tell them that their Ant CiCi is coming over for a slumber party. I am excited too! I have missed her. We talk on the phone a lot at night. She even waits for me to get off work which isn't until 1:30 am and sometimes we end up talking until the wee hours of the morning, and then we text each other the next day about how cranky we are. We're a funny pair. But we've been friends since 4th grade, so it's expected. Her birthday is at the end of this month so I am looking forward to spending yet another year together even if it is on the phone with sporadic visits.
Thursday is the Bugs graduation and boy do I have some cute pictures for Wordless Wednesday! Check them out tomorrow!

Weekly Update/Friday Follow
Oh boy it's 3am! I got home a little bit ago and am waiting for medicine to kick in. I've had a sinus infection for a week now and can't lay down until something kicks in for the coughing involved so why not write, right? :)
So, now that I have graduated and been given more responsibility at work, a raise and more income potential... I have also been given a schedule change. If I wanted to work days, I would have had the opportunity to do that but I had to go back to the hours I used to have. The starting hours anyway. So now I'm 5:00pm to 1:30am. Yes, people do call that late. Redmosqui can't believe it but it's actually pretty busy. And it's been so busy lately, I haven't be able to read anything at all. So of course, I am still getting up at about 8:00 am with the girls do start our day. I do have very long days. It's rough and exhausting but worth it. I miss reading all of the blogs on a daily basis so I took someones advice and I started my own Dysfunction of Motherhood page on Facebook and I am in the process of "Liking" all of the blogs on my Followers list that have a Facebook page so that I can have an easier time with keeping up and knowing when everyone has updated. I started one tonight while coughing up a lung or two and hope to have everyone added. Redmosqui tried to teach me about setting up RSS feeds but I am just way too tired to understand it all honestly. He's actually been educating me on them for a few weeks now. Facebook is quicker and easier. It's taking over the world, right? I just have to figure out how to get it linked onto here. I'm sure I'll forget for the next week or so!
So that's that. In other news I have something really funny to post that my daughter did at school but I can't do it until I can upload the picture. I can't upload the picture until my camera battery is charged. I need a spare camera! Mother's Day is just around the corner..... Ok, that was me daydreaming. We just dropped $440 on our AC today. Isn't that always grand? But on the upside, we did get those Lifetime filters. The ones you just clean yourself and supposedly lower your energy costs enough to pay for itself and reduce dust so after a while you never have to dust your house. If you go back to my very first post ever on here.... It was actually about dusting and my frustrations with it. So, ladies who hate dusting.... I'll let you know how these filters work. Of course I need time to clean my house and get it dust free to begin with. Too bad this company isn't paying me to review their product or do a giveaway or something like that. None-the-less, I will update about these air filters and let ya'll know if it's worth it! I for one... would be a really happy girl if I don't have to dust anymore. Especially with all of the books and collectibles we have in our house. It's a long daunting task that doesn't get done very often to be honest. One less thing to do is always welcome.

Of course I need time to clean my house and get it dust free to begin with. Too bad this company isn't paying me to review their product or do a giveaway or something like that. None-the-less, I will update about these air filters and let ya'll know if it's worth it! I for one... would be a really happy girl if I don't have to dust anymore. Especially with all of the books and collectibles we have in our house. It's a long daunting task that doesn't get done very often to be honest. One less thing to do is always welcome.

Weekly Update--- Summer Plans!
It's been a crazy busy week here in the Bug household. We've had a few contractors come over to talk about designs to have an additional room added on to the house. If we decide to do the room addition which is what I really want, it will be the girls shared bedroom. Then we gain 2 rooms to do whatever we please with. One would be a play room for the kids and their friends. The other... we have no idea yet. It will probably double as a guestroom/rec room for us. At least, that's the plan anyway.
We've been planning a beach trip too. We've found a lovely villa to rent \and have been awaiting the rental agreement to come in the mail. The Villa actually sleeps 10 people, which obviously, we won't have that many people but the price was right, and the days we could go were open. Redmosqui has been planning for summer.... ontop of my planning! It's kind of exciting. I am usually the planner of the family. My plans for summer involve the beach, trips to my hometown, to farms for fruit picking. Going to various farmers markets. There is a really big one inside Charlotte, NC. I have been on my own when I lived in that area. I've been waiting for the kids to be older since it is on a busy street and for us to have more time to go to it. Last Summer, I was still working 6 days a week. My one day off was on the day that it was closed. So we didn't have the opportunity to go. We also are planning on going to Lazy 5 ranch so that the girls can feed the zoo animals from the Tram. Redmosqui plans on movies, concerts, and a dinner cruise out on Lake Norman. I was hoping to have time to do a Mystery Dinner Theatre Train but I don't think we'll be able to do that this year. The other thing I wanted to do that is iffy--- I want to take the bugs to the mountains to ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. I've been looking into that for a couple of years now, since Bug has shown an interest in trains but we may have to wait until next year. So those are some of our Summer plans. We'll see. It seems like we have enough on the books for now.
Another reason we were so busy this week--- I registered the Bug for kindergarten! We went to the school. Walked around a little bit, and filled out all of the paperwork. She's signed up for kindergarten camp which is about 2 weeks before kindergarten actually starts. Essentially, it is a kindergarten training camp. The couple of the ladies in the Elementary School office recognized the girls. They attend church at the Preschool I have the Bugs enrolled in. She has a month and a half left of preschool. Soon she'll be taking her little cap and gown pictures and doing her little graduation ceremony. Her picture will also be in the newspaper. I have her first week of kindergarten off of work so I can be home to ease her into it. I can say she has turned into a well rounded young lady. Generally, I think she's like me but I also see a lot of her uncles in her as well. She doesn't have too many temper tantrums anymore but she can argue her point now with precision and valid reasoning. You can tell that she wants to use more complicated vocabulary that she has, so she struggles with that a little bit. She's so helpful. She gets up in the morning. Get's dressed. Makes her own bed, and attempts to let me sleep. She gets Bee up and dressed as well--- Except she uses her own clothes instead of Bees clothes. But it's the thought that counts. She knows that I come home well after she's been in bed. Although, I end up getting up with them anyway instead of trying to sleep longer.... I know that she tries. She does other chores in exchange for a small (very small) allowence, and for stickers on a chart. Once the chart is full we will go to Xtreme Play. Which is one of those centers filled with bouncey houses. I've always called her my little Sugar Plum Fairy and she really is. But she's starting to grow out of my calling her that. As long as bee still lets me call her my Sweet Pea or Baby Doll for a little while longer, I'll be content. I am not sad at this point that she's going to kindergarten, I am actually happy to have a healthy, thriving child. Perhaps closer to that date, I will feel differently. We'll see.
There were thoughts about taking Bee out of the preschool so I would have less running around to do, but I know she would be disappointed. She's doing so well and is upset on the days she doesn't have school. She's so attached to Bug that I am sure she will struggle with bug being gone from about 7:45am-2:40pm. That's a long day even for Bug to be away from her sister that long. But Bee is doing so well. As for paying for it, we're lucky that this year we were able to apply and obtain scholorships for both of them which cut the cost, literally, in half. We would actually still qualify for it next year for Bee as well so she'll get to stay there for another 2 years. It is income based but it would be ashame to take Bee out of school when we've met so many amazing people/parents there. I've become close with most of the mothers as well since me and Bee hang out there for an hour waiting for Bug.
I am very ready for summer though. I am ready for having Redmosqui home all the time. We've been talking on the phone several times a day since we only see each other 2 days a week. Luckily for me, the job is going great! I've get my bonus for March on tomorrows check and you know... I feel lucky to have a job with the bonus. The bonus itself more than triples one of my checks from my old job (that has now buld een outsourced and everyone in the division was laid off). My father in law and I were talking and I am lucky. He hasn't gotten a raise or a bonus in the last 5 years. I will be getting a 10% raise next month. It took a lot of effort of my mom and my friends to help get me into this job. Get me trained, licensed, etc. I am thankful that I am doing well and excelling. I don't want to waste all of their hard work and contribution to my family, my need for health insurance and our financial stability. Financial stability is hard to come by these days and we're lucky at this point. Very lucky. Seems like things really do fall into place when they need to.
I've been reading a lot of books lately, and have watched a couple new movies. We bought Avatar today but Game 5, of the first series of hockey games for the Pittsburgh Penguins was on tonight. We were going to watch it afterwards, but the game was on from 7pm-midnight. So maybe Sunday. When my husband saw it in the theatre, he told me it was like Dances with Wolves. I guess I will see. You'd think I wouldn't have time to read or watch movies, but somehow, it happens! This passed month, I've read / watched:
Dresden Files- Book 12 "Changes" (Redmosqui is reading the series now!) by Jim Butcher
Twilight -- New Moon (Redmosqui finished reading the series!)
Codex Alera (Books 1-4) -- Another Jim Butcher series. May wait until I finish the 5th and 6th books though. (Redmosqui won't be reading these because I've already told him all about them.)
I do miss blogging and reading my favorite blogs. I didn't even have time for a Wednesday post this week, but it's okay. Summer. Is. Coming! I hope everyone has had a good week so far!
