Things have been going very well for me lately. I found out today I'm the number one person in the English speaking group of our transition group (part 2 of training). Although this could change, and in fact, it will change... it was nice to hear it. I wouldn't say that I strive to be the best at work, but I do strive to do my best and I am glad when it shows. Most people stay away from sales because it's a rough job. I am glad to be one of the people to gravitate towards it and do well in it.
As for my diabetes, my kidneys are still stressed out badly. That's really the only downside I have in life right now. I didn't do this to my kidneys intentionally. I just couldn't afford the cost of insulin when I worked for a company who offered horrible insurance, mostly just for the sake of saying they offer it. I know my health isn't the best. My doctors have been forcing me to go to appointments by making them for me. I told them in time, I would make them myself. They ended up choosing people who aren't in my network-- for all 3 appointments she made. Eye doctor, heart doctor and OB/GYN. So I cancelled them. Right now, I just don't have to the time to run around and most importantly, I don't have the desire to go through a battery of tests just yet. Nothing really all that life threatening is happening so I don't see the emergency to get everything checked out. When I start my night shift, then I will have time. I had some time in the fitness center tonight after my shift ended. So now I'm awaking and wanting to clean the house at 1:30am. Heh....
Speaking of clean house....I have several blogs since I've been in the blogging community for so long. My "Adventures of Bug and Bee" blog is deleted among others that I didn't have on blogger. I just found it too hard to manage. And it had their first names all over them. I have also thought about deleting this one and joining Redmosqui on his blog but I like my title. This is an everything blog, where as his are just things going on randomly at any given time. So I will be keeping this one. I'm keeping "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" too but all the posts have been deleted from that one for a re-vamp and it's no longer permission only. And all the ones that were publicized are now deleted. I have other ideas for it. Whether they come into fruition is something completely different. So, it's official. I am now only on 3 places. 2 here on blogger and 1 on livejournal.
I am also finding a lack of time to juggle all of these things like I want to/used to when I was working part-time only. I enjoy writing, although I don't have time to write like I want to, and edit like I want to. I actually never go through and re-read or spell check then end up seeing all of the errors later. It's not something to worry about it, but I did major in History and writing was my forte. So sometimes it pains me to see the errors. What can you do? I suppose I could edit later, but that takes away from new post time. So the blogs have been cleaned up.
You know there is actually a company that will take your blog, turn it into a bound book and send you the published version? How crazy is that? I'm going to turn The Good, The Bad and the Ugly into something that I can do that with after I have enough posts. I have several ideas. All of which I want to see come into play but I know I need to pick one. We'll see how it goes. I just need to find out who does that again.

Ok... so, I looked into a digital pressure cooker but they're too expensive for me right now. Especially since I was in the ER all day Friday. That is a $200 trip to pay. I don't want to talk about what the doctor said. I had to take the kids with me and they were pretty behaved. The doctors gave the kids each a toy. Bee got a pink Ty beanie mouse which she calls her "bahby," and now she takes Bahby most places she goes. Hugs her and says "aww sweet," and pats it on the back. The kids are just getting so big. I'm starting to look forward to the days where they can really have a conversation with me. Not a made up conversation. Real life, thoughts and things like that.
So, anyway... I haven't been to the gym in a week and we've ordered too much food out. I haven't even gone to the grocery store this week. I would usually do it on Thursday or Friday, but Thursday I was too tired, and Friday I was in the ER until time to go to work.
Motivation----
A lot of people say, "they just can't help themselves" and they go out and get these things. I wonder if that's my case? I do, or at least I did these things because it's a time saver. I don't pick up food because thats what I want. It's just a time saver when I've run out of time and everything is frozen. Thank you, Holly for the pressure cooker idea. It would be a BIG help. I just have to be able to afford it.... eventually.
My question to myself and I'm not sure I can even answer myself is--- Why doesn't diabetes scare me more? I guess I haven't been able to get medicine for so long that I like to pretend that everything is okay. Even though I'm tired ALL the time. Run down, no energy. Can't sleep. Can't really function at all. A doctor at the ER offered to help me. He told me to set up scheduled appointments with him and he would work with my insurance and find a medicine that I can afford. So why am I not excited and jumping on this offer? It still takes money I don't have. But it's significantly less money than I would be spending if he didn't offer to treat me. I still have so many medical bills to pay from last year and I guess it's getting frustrating. I would like to have them paid off before I try to start getting medication regularly. *sigh* I need to win the lottery so I can pay everything off. And have a good start. Lottery.... costs money to try to win. Argh!
hmm, I had something else to type... But I lost it in my brain somewhere. IT was something good too but I guess not too important. You'd *think* I could remember what it is if it was important. But that's not always true. I'm a scatterbrain....
Warning: To those who take pictures. Do not wait 8-9 months to get your pictures developed. May be that's what I was going to say earlier? Yeah, I got off work yesterday at 8pm on the dot. And I didn't get home until after Midnight! The Kodak Picture make hates me! 631 pictures came out of that machine last night. 631 pictures.... 19 cents a print. Total almost $130. Yup. Lots of money. Now, I have to sort and organize all the pictures. Get some sent to my mom before she goes on her trip and..... We all know me and organization, us two do not mix. I try, and try..... it's going to take me forever!
I'm done ranting. 2 hours of work down, 8 to go!
My first collage.. well first one in yeeeeeeeears:

The first step...
The first step is admitting you need a lifestyle change. And I think, I've admitted it to myself, but now it's a public admission--- I need to change my life.
I need to quit ignoring the fact that I have diabetes. I've been living my life, and pushing the diabetes into the back of my mind. I do not check my blood sugar. Everytime I do, it's a number that you would really not want to see-- 455, 532, or "Hi," as in... "Hello, your blood sugar is so high the meter won't read it." When I called to ask what the highest number the meter would read, they said "600, go to a doctor now." Of course, I didn't go to the doctor because before, I didn't "really" have diabetes. But it's here, it's a problem and I have to fix it--- some how. I took the first step on Sunday, I started eating healthy. Monday, we got stuck in an appointment and I had to get Arby's. Well, I didn't have to, but I didn't get out the appointment until a quarter to 4. The kids were hungry, and Arby's has heathly kids meals so bam, Arby's. Other than that, the diet went well.... There are so many things at stake: my eye sight, my organs, my limbs... I've got to quit being so apathetic even if I'm tired all the time. Excercise is energy, right....
Today, me and the bugs went Gym Shopping. Step to in admitting a lifestyle change is needed. On gym, a major chain... wanted $25 a month with a 2 year contract. And once a year equipment charges. The enroll ment fee was $55, plus the first month. Or I could go for one year, and pay $275 for the entire year at one time. We did put the kids in the child care facility to tour the gym. The kids stayed in the same spot. The woman who works in the day care was leaving, but the manager of the gym said he would stay with the kids. Yes, I said HE. This made me a little uncomfortable. We finished before the other woman left. So, I'm not sure of this aspect of the whole choosing a gym thing. The facility was nice though, Lanie didn't want to leave. I don't like that there is no bathroom. This is unisex, big chain gym. It's also quite a ways from my house. They do have showers, but you bring your own things. They offer tanning as well, aromatherapy, massage therapy.... at an extra cost of course. They didn't address how diapers are changed. They watch children from 8:00-11:30 and again in the afternoon but that doesn't pertain to me because I'll be at work. But they'll watch them as long as I want in that time frame.
The other gym that I went to said they do not do contracts, $48 enrollment fee, $28 per month and I can quit anytime with a 30 day notice. Their childcare facility was a little bit smaller. It did have a bathroom. The child care staff was not there when I was there, but that's okay. They offer drinks and snacks to children at 75 cents a snack and drink... which I didn't even think about at the other place. That's not too bad. They're classes change monthly, but they print out the schedules. It's a women's only place. It's a hop, skip and a jump away from my house. She also said because it is an all womens facility, only women would watch the children. They offer showers, sauna and also toiletries like shampoo and conditioner for free. If one of my kids needs changed or to go to the bathroom, they'll come get me so I can do it. I like that. The only downside is the kids can only say in child care for 1.5 hours. So, I'd have to go more frequently during the week but it's a lot closer than the other one. Bug thought this place was "School" and didn't want to leave. Bee.... I couldn't tell what she thought of the place, I held her the entire time. It's definitely not a big gym, but it's a comfortable place so it seems. I like the idea of not having a contract.
Why not work out at my house? I've been trying to do that. I face many problems working out here. The first is well, I only have an excercise bike. If I bike during naptime, I don't have time to shower afterward. If I let the kids play while I shower, my house will get destroyed. At least if I join a gym, I can exercise, shower and all that without having to worry about what the kids are doing. If they demolish that child care room.... it really isn't my problem. It just seems like this is the best way to go to get us out of the house without having to go shopping. Plus I think this offers more of a break for me and them. When we get home, we'll each lunch and they'll take a nap. The kids get to play together with someone else and I get to try to lose this dreaded 30 lbs that is hanging on to me since I had both children.
It's a tough decision as to which place to choose. I feel like I'm trying to convince myself to do this. When I talked with each place about the whole "dislocating every bone in my foot, tearing ligaments and fracturing all the main bones as well, then getting pre-Eclampsia with both children and having my muscles atrophy (Sp?), they seemed to understand my concern on how long I could work out. But the person at the first place just wanted me to sign the documents and get the bank draft started. Once I said I was going to go look somewhere else too before I decided, he kind of quickly let the "tour" of the place go (which I was okay with since a male would be watching my kids. Really again, I do not have a big problem with this... I just really don't think it was good way to start out a tour. I don't have a problem with male child care, it's just, this is the first time my girls would be without me, with someone they don't know. So it was a little hard. He did do great with them. He said the girls didn't move from where I left them, and Littlest bug just played peek-a-boo.
Today, the girls were so hungry, we got hot dogs and hamburgers from Hardees. NO Fries... that's not very diabetic friendly. So, upon doing this gym shopping I realized on all the days that I go to the gym, I'll have to prepare lunch for us before we go. They can have a snack at the gym. And then come home to eat lunch. I think it would be good for all of us to get out and interact. And for me to get healthy.
Argh, I don't know which one to choose! OK, I'll stop ranting now on the two places. I'm upstairs waiting for the girls to fall asleep. I will make a decision by Saturday and go out and get the gym membership--- which is the second step. The third step is following through.

I'm back!!
I guess it helps to have a laptop upstairs. So when I'm policing the halls during naptime to make sure Little Bug doesn't do something she shouldn't do before she takes a nap... like go wake up Littlest Bug while she's napping.... I can get on here a blog again.
Things have been busy, I'm still on the same schedule. Wake up with both girls at 7, take care of them until about 4:30, then head to work from 5pm until usually about 11pm, or whenever I'm done after that point. That's just Monday-Friday. Saturday is my only day off. Then Sunday, I have a 10 hour work day. It's hard but the money is good. I miss the kids a lot. They can be so cute in the evening when their bucket of energy has dwindled down. When I put Bee to bed on Saturdays, she didn't want to let me go. For some stupid reason, I decided to give her a pillow about a week or so ago. Now, she doesn't care if I put her to bed or not. She's in love with having a pillow. She finally started walking in March. Bug turned 3 on April 8th. Seriously, where does the time go? In 2010.... two years from now, Lanie will be in Kindergarten. That's going to be one hard day for me. Daddy D might have to take off work to help me leave her there.
Lately I've been struggling to find a balance. A balance between taking care of my self (the basics-- diet, exercise, shower, etc), you know, the stuff that keeps up with your self-esteem, and taking care of the kids and the house. How does anyone manage all that with 2 toddlers? There are all kinds of scenarios that I keep playing at in my head, but when I get home at or after midnight, then maybe get to sleep by 1am-2am, and up again at 7, I've already neglected one of my basic needs--- Sleep. I'm averaging 5 hours a night. Daddy D usually lets me sleep in on the weekend, but this weekend that didn't happen and it's Monday, and I'm really feeling the energy decrease. There's got to be away to do this. Not a perfect way, I'm not saying that there is one because I have to factor in appointment, grocery shopping and other things on different days. But I'd like to be able to get a shower everyday. Which, if the kids don't get a nap... I don't get a shower. They are at the age when you just can't turn your back on them, even if they're in the room when you shower. Argh.... Need time management classes or something!
Here are pictures of my "handfulls" that were taken this year:

They may look cute.... but it's all an act. ;o)

Christmas...
In many schools..... It is not acceptable to say "Merry Christmas" anymore. You have to say "Happy Holidays." I understand that there are other religions out there. But... no offense to anyone at all: Jesus is the reason we have this "season." It's confusing to have to modify what you say. "Christ" is the start of the word "Christmas." Does this bother anyone else? Or am I alone here? It's not that I don't respect other religions, because I do. And if someone says Happy Hanakkah (Spelling?), I'm not offended. I just go on my merry little way.
I do believe, and I am guilty of blowing the season out of proportion. I think everyone in my family has like 12 gifts. That's a lot for 1 person to get 3 people. Oh.... Excuse me. That's a lot for Santa to spend on one family. Yep.... A lot!!! Trust me, I can imagine the bill. ;o)
Anyway... Bee is going to turn one on January 3rd. Her party is on the 29th though. I can't believe it. I'll post her one year pictures when I'm home. I'm at work... When am I not at work? I'm so tired all the time now. I also have a fracture ankle and tendinitis. Sounds fun to be me? Anyone wanna switch! I don't know... 5pm-11pm every day Monday-Friday, and 10am-8pm on Sundays has worn me thin. I really just wanna sleep all the time now. I keep telling myself that it's only for a couple of years. Then the kids will be in preschool and it'll be better. It's become a mantra!
Ok, back to work!! Hope everyone is well and has a Merry Christmas!!!! (there I said it!)

Falling into place...
This whole job threw all of our schedules off, but things are falling back into place. I actually got both girls napping at the same time again. Such a nice break to have! Work is going well, I'm still getting used to getting less than 6 hours of sleep every night. But Daddy D is pretty good at letting me sleep in most Saturdays and Sundays so far. Does anyone know how to sow? I need my supermom outfit! I don't know how I may it through the day!
I do miss everyone, I miss taking the time to read blogs. BUT luckily, in a little while when I'm not doing so much at work... yes a job the gets easier! I'll be able to do that. I've been on livejournal a lot too but that's probably not a big surprise to most of my friends. I need a place for private thoughts, a place to share where random people in the world won't find it. It's nice. Let me know if any of you bloggers have joined so I can add you.
The girls are growing up so quickly. Bee started randomly saying "No" last month. She's a character. She won't take a sippy cup and I've been trying to give her one but when it gets close to her face she starts saying "noooooo no no no no no no," how do you not laugh at that? A 9 month old telling her mama "no,"... looks like I need to nip this in the bud. It's just way too funny. She also says "No Bug," when her sister tries to take her toys away. When we tell her no, she says "No Bee," waaaaaaaaaay too cute if you ask me. I didn't realize how much I missed them during the day. Now that we have the money to put the girls in Preschool, we're going to start them next year. Bee has to be one to start, so come January she'll be 1. The decision was hard, but if we have the money to do it, it's good for them. Not so much for me, but it does give me time to myself when they are gone. And there is a great preschool up the street. So, I guess we will see. I've always done what I felt was best for them and putting them in a social environment will teach them how to better interact with other children more so than taking them to our friends house.
What can I tell you about Bee? She's currently learning to spell, and working on reading. I don't know how much a 2.5 year old can read but we're learning it anyway. My neighbors down the street have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and she loves going over there. She hates to go by their house and not say hi. That's my sweet girl. We had a couple of months of the terrible twos, but that's over thankfully! She's napping again and going to be on time. It's hard to discipline them without showing any emotion whatsoever, but we did it, and we're good.
Hope all is well with everyone! Will be catching up on the blogs soon! (Especially Holly and Cass!)

Supermom....
Is what I'm going to have to make myself if I expect to function while working six days a week. 5 of those days taking care of the kids from whatever time they get up (between 5am-7am) to when Daddy D gets home a little after 4. A few times a month, I have to put the kids in the car, drive to his work to give him the car with the kids and take the other one to work. Be there by 5pm, work until 11pm then go home and somehow force myself to fall asleep.
I just don't know....
I just don't know....

Can life get anymore dysfunctional?
Ok, I'm back from the dead.... well, I'll get to that later!
Training is over, and I'm a fulltime working gal, and a fulltime mom. It's going to be hard. I got home at midnight last night. Since my health insurance hasn't kicked in, I had to a "procedure" for a cyst on my own. That took 2 hours. So I went to bed after 2am. I'm crazy, I know. 2 more months and I'll have insurance. I missed the girls the four weeks I was in training. I didn't realize that I hadn't made a post in so long. I updated my MySpace, I'll head to livejournal next. It's definitely been a while. I can't really tell you about my job yet. Well, I could. I have a lot to say but with any company, I'm not going to put it out there. It's just not right.
Bee:
Has four teeth, another is cutting now.
Crawling and standing
Eating "people" food
Says: Jena, Mama, Daddy, Lanie, No, Bye
Bug.. what can I say about her? If she'd ditch the tantrums (which we are working on), I would no longer consider her a toddler even at 2 years of age. I'd consider her a girl. She tells us what she wants and what she needs. And what she wants to do. The only obstacle to get through is helping her deal with us telling her no. That's it.
Both of them still haven't been sick yet... no colds, no ear infections. I did get Jena's ears pierced on Sunday. She didn't cry, and it looks so cute. I do miss a lot of my friends. We've been playing phone tag for the last 4-5 weeks.
How is everyone in the blog world doing? I have a lot to catch up on here too!

School is back...
I tell everyone that I own two beautiful daddies girls. But I'm feeling it now more than ever. Daddy D has been back to work for a week and 2 days, it's very apparent. If I take the girls somewhere, Little bug looks at the other men she sees and asks "Where's my daddy?" Littles bug simply dadadadadadada throughout wherever we happen to be.
Yesterday was particularly hard because my car had a problem. We thought it was the battery, but when I had it towed to the nearest place that sells batteries, we discovered that the battery wasn't the problem. Needless to say, riding with 2 children in a tow truck wasn't fun at all. But at least I know that my Little Bug will never be taken by a stranger easily! The ride was bumpy, and Littlest was amused and actually saying " ha ha ha" the whole way. Oh yeah.. back to the story. They put a new battery in, and the car still wouldn't start. That's when I realize, I'm stranded at a store. It was 12pm. I had no formula for Littlest Bug but I had baby food. So I bought Little Bug and Me some pizza. Fed Littlest Bug her baby food. And took them for a walk around Sam's club. She kept busy getting samples from the ladies who just kept pumping her full of food because she was "adorable." My poor Little Bug was so tired. I realize the Sam's carts (or buggies, whatever you call them) are made for two children to sit in the front so I put my purse on one end, and I let her lay down. She fell asleep, so both kids asleep, relief. Everyone was at work. Daddy D doesn't get off until 3:30. But my wonderful MIL got off at 3, she came and rescued us. We got home shortly before my hubby did. I'm so lucky I have great in-laws. I hear some stories about others and I thank my lucky stars for the ones I have.
Glad yesterday is over.... I'll feel better when I get my car back. I'll be $228 poorer but at least I'm not stranded at a store for hours with 1 kid saying "where's my daddy," and the other "dadaddada" the whole time.

I GOT THE JOB!!
Not the one I posted about with the six week training course..... I got a different one at the same place, $1 an hour more, insurance benefits and only a two week training course. Doing an easier job! And they'll work with the hours I need after training so the kids don't have to go to daycare. Can't beat that! I feel like a kid who just busted the pinata open, ready to take the blindfold off and get started! But the training isn't until September 10th, so I get some more time to devote to my girls before I'm Zombie Mom. Thank you everyone who kept me in their prayers or simply kept their fingers crossed for me. I'm so excited. This is a big turning point for us.... a real life changing event!

Can I do it?
I got offered a fulltime job that will give me all evening and night hours. So the question is.... can I stay up all day and keep the kids entertained, then work an 8 straight hours... come home, go to sleep and do it all over again? I guess we'll see. This is a solution to my insurance problem. And to the kids insurance problem. And to the money situation. I guess I just have to do my best? It will be my first fulltime job so I'm nervous. In order to train for it my mom has to watch the kids during the day for 6 weeks. They love her to death but I'm so afraid I'll miss something that they do for the first time! I made my mom promise not to tell me what they do that way when I see it myself, I'll believe it's the first time! And with her coming, we've made the girls share a room. If anyone's got room sharing tips, I'd like to have some. Tonight is our second night!
So.. wish us all kinds of luck. Hopefully, I don't disappear for too long!

Who needs a nap?
I need a nap! Nap. Nap. Nap!!
Between staying up later to take surveys to make extra money, trying to get the part time job started again, and taking care of the kids... my energy seems to have found the nearest second story window and taken a flying leap for the ground! On top of that, unlike my husband, it takes me a good 30 minutes to fall asleep. I don't stop all day so when I do stop my body seems to say... "Hey, lets enjoy this for a little bit." So I watch whatever is on the food network, and fall asleep to that.
My job right now also requires a lot of driving.. when I say a lot, I mean, yesterday I drove 180 miles total. But it's okay because I love driving. It's the getting home and trying to sleep bit that has me overworked. Not the driving, not the job. Falling asleep... During the day I'm so tired that I even forget to eat. Seriously... you have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat. (yup, that's me!) But then night time hits and I've got a burst of energy, I could work all night and be fine... then sun up and I could sleep. I've always been backwards. My mom said I was up all night as a baby, and asleep all day. Then in elementary school, I made my mother think I went to bed, then when her and my dad were in bed, I'd go downstairs (all 4 of them... we had a split level) and watch TV on our wood console TV.... you know the kind that sat on the floor, had a record player in one side and a tape player in the other. Gotta love the 80's.
Is there a way to reverse something you've done for 25 years? The only time I've EVER slept at night (and boy was it good sleep!) was during my second pregnancy from the 3rd month to the 7th month! I don't want to be pregnant to get sleep. I just want a good nights sleep maybe 4 nights out of 7.
PS:
Finally got the Bug and Bee blog updated!
